Pop-Up Saber
The Pop-Up Lightsaber was usually released with the following combinations of colour to figure:
Green Lightsaber:
There are 2 main mould variations plus subvariants. More subvariants may exist. As a result of the fact that these were shot on a sprue tree in higher numbers the subvariants may vary heavily depending on the metal mould used.
M1 was produced by SMILE in Hong Kong. It was used for R2-D2 pop-up saber figure (POTF). It floats when submerged in water
The following colours are known:
- bright light green (semi translucent)
M2 was produced by SMILE in Hong Kong. It was used for R2-D2 pop-up saber figure (POTF, Trilogo) and the DROIDS R2-D2. The molds were also used by GLASSLITE in Brazil for POTF and DROIDS R2-D2. The following colours are known:
- bright light green translucent (GLASSLITE) (floats when submerged in water)
- green (sinks when submerged in water)
- blueish green (sinks when submerged in water)

Easy to use, the R2-D2 Pop-up Lightsaber accessory holder is supplied in 2 parts – BASE and TOP PLATE – and are specifically designed to accompany the GW Acrylic LASER cases.
All holders are produced from Archival grade UV acrylic sheet (UV 99%+) to ensure the very best protection for your collection.
We like to access our collectibles and have the freedom to change things up therefore we recommend Bostik Removeable Glue Dots which are acid and lignin free and leave no trace on the surface of the case when removed.

R1: Painted Saber
The R1 is one of the most common reproductions out there. It has been around for decades. They are painted in different shades of green. They sink when submerged in water.
They do mostly resemble the M2 version from SMILE:
The following colours are known:
- dull light green
- green
- shiny dark green
The R2 is also a very common reproduction out there. It has been pushed into the market by SLC and is now literally everwhere. They came in two shades of green to mimic both colours from Smile and Glasslite. They sink when submerged in water.
The bright light green ones do mostly resemble the M1 version from SMILE (but also the M2 Glasslite version):

The following colours are known:
- bright light green (translucent)
- green (semi translucent)
The R3 is a scarce reproduction out there. The surface of those feels kind of waxy. They do mostly resemble the M2 version from GLASSLITE and they actually float when submerged in water.
The following colours are known:
- bright light green (non translucent)
The R4 is also a scarce reproduction out there. It’s a direct recast from the M2 version from SMILE and the colour compared to the POTF and DROIDS version is spot on. Those sink when submerged in water and therefore only can be identified by the rough seamlines and the airbubbles in the material.
The following colours are known:
- green (non translucent)
